Life force energy, guided by a higher power
The underlying meaning of Reiki is life force energy guided by a higher power. The first part of the word is "Rei", meaning higher power or God's power. The second part is "Ki," which means life force energy and is present in all living things.

When "ki" is blocked, health and well-being suffer. When someone's life force energy is lower, or its flow is restricted, there is a greater vulnerability to ill-health and emotional anguish. The central principle of Reiki healing is a form of universal energy that naturally knows and focuses on the ailment or imbalances existing for someone.
Generally, Reiki is a hands-on method of applying healing energy. The practice follows a fundamental pattern and process in keeping with the method's history and traditions, which have been passed down to initiates over the years.
The three phases of transformation
Transformation, also known as growth, evolution, enlightenment, spiritual awakening, ascension, or redemption, is built into everything in this Universe. CCT works with the three phases of transformation to initiate healing.
Phase I
Opening
It begins by creating and holding a container of protection, safety, and the highest energies for healing. When you feel completely safe on all levels, you can easily begin to let go of the blocks placed between you and your desires for healing and creating.
The consciousness opens and connects you to a higher level of awareness. This feels relaxing and uplifting, and defended states of fight or flight are released.
There is a quickening, a beginning of something new. As you open, and within the container of safety, you can fully receive what you desire.
Phase II
Healing Chambers · Chaos
A release of distorted energy and patterns begins to lift, allowing in new levels of wholeness. This is initiated through the Healing Chambers, sacred geometric configurations inherent in all of creation.
The higher frequencies of sacred geometry help to lift the old distortions and patterns out and prepare the body for the direction of healing. This phase works with the whole body and soul unit. It may not feel unpleasant to the body, but it could feel chaotic or disorienting after a session.
As this energy unravels and untangles from within, it allows you to consciously create and intend what you truly desire. After the energetic fields have been cleared, your intention is brought into the session.
Phase III
Mastery
Mastery anchors transformation into our core column of light. It also creates new reference points for the consciousness, similar to "ah-ha" moments. This happens when our consciousness catches up with the energetic healing work.
Mastery ensures the energy shift becomes a new level of expression.
